Created from pieces of my actual dried paint palettes, Palette Fish Mabel is a one-of-a-kind mixed-media piece layered with blush pinks, bright fuchsia, aqua, coral, and unexpected flashes of metallic gold. Each hand-cut and torn piece of dried acrylic paint overlaps the next to create her wonderfully wonky shape, dimensional fins, and plenty of personality.
The beauty of these palette fish is in their imperfection. Every curl, edge, brushstroke, and bit of texture began as part of the painting process before finding a second life as something entirely new. No two can ever be exactly alike.
