Created from hand-cut pieces of my well-loved artist palettes, Franklin is layered with remnants of color, texture, brushstrokes, and bits of gold leaf collected from the painting process. Each fragment once played a part in another work of art; pieced together, they’ve found an entirely new life as one wonderfully wonky fish.
His extra-long shape is packed with unexpected color—from watery blues and bright greens to coral, pink, red, and inky black—with flashes of gold that catch the light. Uneven fins, overlapping layers, rough edges, and all those little imperfections are intentionally left visible, giving Franklin the playful personality that makes each Palette Fish completely one of a kind.
